2024 Springs Disposal + Recycle Guide

Have items you want to declutter/trash/recycle, but can’t donate?

Here is a quick guide to responsibly dispose of trash, recycling, sensitive documents, medications, and hazardous waste.

We have some great community disposal resources in Colorado Springs!
These places make it easy to let go of items that you no longer need or want.

Electronics to recycle loaded up into the back of a car to take to a Colorado Springs recycling center

This picture features two decades of electronics!

We helped a couple whose kids are now in college clear out their attic space.

At the end of a 3-hour, Two Organizer Session, we had a carload of electronics, a carload of donations, and several bags of trash!

You can’t see it clearly, but near the front of the car is an original iMac computer.
It weighs 34 pounds!

We happily hauled all this clutter down two flights of stairs to lighten this couple’s load.

Positive global and local change can be made when you shred, trash, and recycle with care.

  1. Priscilla says:

Do you know if there’s a place in Colorado Springsthat recycles textiles? I have clothes that aren’t good enough to donate to goodwill.
    Thank you

    • Hi Priscilla, I don’t know of a place you can do this locally. I have listed rag sheets and towels on Facebook Marketplace and they usually get snatched up by someone quickly! There are also places online where you can pay to recycle textiles. I hope that helps!
