Our living space impacts everything in our well-being.

For some, it’s more than just clutter - their living environment is holding back their lives and impacting their safety or mental health.

Problem is, not only is it hard to know which neighbors are drowning in a tough season, not everyone is equipped to help.

Many neighbors don't live safely in their homes.

Whether it's an unsafe living space for seniors or children, partner or sexual violence, or even long-term medical, mental health, or behavioral issues, some people are in a season where they need a bit of extra help.

Led by professional organizers.
Partnered with social services.

We're helping needs-based Colorado Springs residents, who are identified by a social services agency partner, with professional organizing support to help them overcome an overwhelming season in their lives.

When you donate,
a space gets sponsored

We are able to take on these projects through your donations, and lives are changed.

Just $20 monthly helps more spaces get sponsored and transformed.

Help us by donating today. Every little bit helps.

Meghan Jackson
Executive Director

Meghan believes in the potential of others. Her natural passion for reimagining spaces lead her to help people improve their lives through peaceful, organized environments.

Her 11 years of experience in social services, with the most notable position being her role at the Department of Human Services (DHS). During that time, she developed a life skills teaching program, built community partnerships, and helped hundreds of community members to greater self-sufficiency. She has a Bachelors of Psychology and Masters in Social Work (MSW).

In 2019, she founded Joyful Spaces, a home organizing business. This career pivot allowed her to embark on her foster care journey, and she quickly realized that this practical support was very similar to her social services experience.

Sponsor A Space is the culmination of Meghan's love of giving, her support of communities, and desire to equip people with tools to develop their own peace and productivity in their daily lives.

Kayla Roebuck
Board Chair

Kayla believes that disorganization has a big impact on mental health. She often uses her natural tendencies for organization to improve her clients' productivity.

Her work experience spans many social work-supporting avenues - from foster care, equine-assisted therapy, to supporting adults with mental and physical disabilities. She has a Bachelors in Psychology and is a Certified Life Coach. She's also volunteered at many social services organizations such as Stable Strides, Mustard Seed, and Tessa.

Kayla is currently a Targeted Case Manager for Adult Community Services. She's motivated by Sponsor A Space's accessibility to bring peace to people who could not otherwise access these services.

Katie Ferguson-Glidewell
Board Member

Katie is passionate about being of service others to foster their growth and empowerment. Her full family life has led her on her own journey of creating systems to organize their busy lives.

Her work has intersected child welfare and adolescent social work during her time as the Department of Human Services' (DHS) Liaison for the Community Mental Health Center. She provided utilization management for youth in the highest levels of care and supervised the DHS Placement Team. She has a Bachelors in American Racial & Multicultural Studies and a Masters in Social Work (MSW).

Katie is currently the Program Supervisor at Fostering Healthy Futures at Lutheran Family Services. She's committed to the Sponsor A Space mission to support our community in such a self-empowering, tangible way.

Alex Maestas
Board Member

Alex believes in the power of interior design to create peaceful environments. He sees a person's natural needs and then creates the surroundings that help them thrive with others.

Since 2008, Alex has specialized as an independent Interior Designer after attending the Art Institute of Denver. He then became a foster parent in 2010, and has supported and advocated for children in both Denver and El Paso counties ever since. When running a home with 3-6 children at a time, the importance of thoughtful organization, space planning, and intentional design become critical for maintaining a healthy living space.

His attention to detail, eye for design, and ability to support our communities' children, made him the perfect mix of qualities to enhance our Sponsor A Space's mission and values.

Crystal has never been asked to clean her room. Even from a young age, she has always understood the joy of an organized, clean space. Her own experiences of internal calm from an uncluttered external environment drove her belief that home organization work changes lives.

Since 2004, Crystal has worked in a variety of social services settings - from crisis pregnancy centers, recovery group home for teen girls, a residential treatment for adolescent sex offenders, and to foster care agencies. She has a Bachelors in Adolescent Studies / Social Services, and is a Board Member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado.

Crystal is currently the Program Directory at CASA of the Pikes Peak Region. Her passion to see people live more empowered, whole lives is a driving force for Sponsor A Space's community vision.
