There are many places to drop off donations in Colorado Springs but it’s hard to keep track of who accepts what! Most people know they can bring clothes and home goods to Goodwill and Arc Thrift Stores. But did you know that there are places that accept old light fixtures, cabinets, used towels, arts and craft supplies, and even baby food jars?
We’ve recently been dropping more items off at Crossfire Ministries and Springs Rescue Mission because of the extra local support they offer: everything from no-cost groceries and clothing to critical services for our neighbors in need.
Goodwill and Arc Thrift Stores also give back in big ways, using donated items to help fund job training, disability advocacy, and other community programs across Colorado.
This donation guide has been updated for 2026.

Just for fun, our pro organizer, Carrie, decluttering Wes Anderson Style.
Decluttering and donating items helps everyone out.
Decluttering space makes your daily life easier and donating items you no longer want or need can be invaluable to someone else.
We’ve put together this list of donation centers so you can bookmark and reference it when needed. These are donation centers we frequent while helping clients declutter and organize.

Specialty, Unique or Bulky Items

Some examples of items: Mattresses, dressers, grills, trampolines, playsets, treadmills, or any specialty item, etc.
Freecycle is a grassroots, nonprofit movement of people who are giving (and getting) stuff for free and keeping useful items out of landfills.

Buy or sell new and used items easily on Facebook Marketplace, locally or from businesses. Items can be listed for $0 and add FREE in the title.
